Jayant lived a full life with many accomplishments. He left Uganda in 1972 with his family, first arriving in London, England and then finally landing in Toronto, Ontario. There he rebuilt a life for his family, held a successful career, and cared for his wife, Indira.
Through life’s challenges Jayant always tried to see the joy in simple things. He loved to spoil his grandchildren with change from his pocket and interesting gadgets. He enjoyed being active, exploring his new home of Aurora by bus and reading. He challenged himself with Sudoku puzzles, crosswords and Rubik’s cubes.
Jayant was predeceased by his wife Indira and survived by his sons William (Andrea) and Nick (Kiera). Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Olivia and Sachin and his beloved family and friends near and far.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Schizophrenia Society of Canada or any charity that serves those in need.
Jayant's family have made private arrangements to honour and celebrate his life.
