Dear Shirley and family, I just found out this afternoon.  So sorry to hear the sad news.  Jim was and is an amazing soul.  Always a wonderful and generous man.  I was so lucky to have Jim, you and your family in part of my life.  Jim has now crossed over to new adventures, while smiling down on his loved ones.

Dear Shirley and Family, we are deeply saddened by your loss.  I spent many a day enjoying time with Jim during our CCSA activities and came to know him as an honourable, generous gentleman who always had time for others. Jim contributed a great deal to the Canadian cable industry in terms of achieving equitable treatment from program suppliers for smaller systems and, most importantly, for those operators' subscribers. I sorely missed Jim when I returned to Club Longboat this last winter. He was a most cordial fella whose presence made me, and others, feel very comfortable. He will remain in my thoughts for a very long time.
