OBITUARY

Kathryn Anne (Kroll) McConnachie

August 28, 1956November 8, 2020

With great sadness, the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of Kathryn, “Kitty”, at the age of 64.

Always there to listen, to lean on and never further than a phone call away, Kitty was a friend you could count on. She was the loving mother of Stephanie (Josh) and Paul (Samantha) and doting grandmother, “Nan” of Ethan and Natalie. Her warm energy and youthful spirit will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched.

A small, private ceremony will be held for immediate family and close friends.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ThompsonFH-Aurora.com for the family.

To the family, I am very sorry for your loss.

I didn’t know Kitty for very long, only since she became a great neighbour.

We would chat out on the front stoop while having coffee. I would hear a lot about her kids, grandkids and their spouses. You could tell how proud she was of all of them.

Kitty was amazing person to just chat about anything.

She will live on in our heart and loving memories.

To all of Kitty’s Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Kitty was such a fine, caring lady. She worked with me for about 8 years and it was a pleasure to see how diligent, dedicated, and passionate she was about her work. It was such a treat to have a conversation with Kitty as she bubbled over with pride about her children and grandchildren. I feel so fortunate to have had such a valued friend.
I hope that all the wonderful memories you share will help to get you through this difficult time.
Kitty is really going to be missed but never forgotten.

Dear Stephanie, Paul and respective families,

My deepest, most heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your mom, Her sensitivity, loyalty, honesty and sense of humour made her a rarity in today’s world. She always lived by the rule “ do unto others”, and this gentleness of character combined with her genuine concern for others, made everyone gravitate towards her.

Kitty was my friend for over 30 years. And during those years I watched her pour her heart and soul into everything she did. I am both blessed and honoured to have had the time to get to know her.

You left us too soon Kit. May you Rest In Peace and may the Angels wrap you in their loving arms as you are a precious light.

You are always in my heart and my thoughts my dear friend.

Love,
Kathryn,Val,Daniel,Sarah and Jacqueline

Oh Kitty, I'm in complete and udder shock of the news of your passing. My memory is now being flooded with so many great memories of our friendship. Funny meeting you in the bank that faithful day which led to us becoming such great friends. With Kevin working so many nights we were able to share dinners together with the girls (now mothers themselves). Thursday nights you would come down the one floor in your pyjamas and we would watch Knot's Landing faithfully :) Getting all dollied up and going out dancing.....damn we had fun!!!! You truly were like the big sister I never had and I will always treasure that time in our life together. Funny thing, you moved to New Market, which broke my heart but we still managed to stay friends. Ultimately, you became friends with my Mom and you too became great Bessie mates.....I love that part of our story. You truly meant the world to my Mom and sadly she too is just gutted with your passing. Thank you my long time friend for so much laughter, love and 1000's of hours on the phone. Until we meet again my beautiful friend RIP xoxoxoxoxo

Steph, Josh, Paul and Sam,

I am so sorry for your loss. Kitty is a wonderful woman. She had a realistic sense of humour; If you did something embarrassing she was able to make you laugh about it and show you it wasn’t as big a deal as you thought (which is a hard thing to do when it comes to teenage girls!) she would listen to anyone and usually have an anecdote that would make you feel better. This always made me feel at ease around her and very welcomed in her home.
She was taken way to soon but will forever live on through you, as well as Ethan and Natalie.

Rest In Peace, Kitty you’re forever in our hearts ❤️

Kitty, I am at a loss. We shared a different kind of bond as mothers, mother-in-laws, and grandmothers. You for sure were the classy, kind one. You will be missed at all of the milestones but I know you will be there. I will raise my glass to you. I will remember Nan to Ethan and Natalie. Rest in peace, dear Kitty but know that you will be missed.
