Madge Veitch

Madge Little (Waldie) Veitch of Aurora, Ont., passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024, at the age of 90. She is predeceased by Tom, her loving husband of 58 years, and is the beloved mother of Scott (Pierrette), David (Cindy), Derek (Bev) and, Tony.

She is dearly remembered by her grandchildren John, Scott, Michael, Robert, James, Allison, Julie, Katie, and Joshua Veitch; step-grandchildren Blair (Lauren), James, (Keri), and Kyle (Nicole) Robinson; five step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by sister Ella (Tony) Moore and brother Jack (Sara) Waldie, and predeceased by siblings Cathy (Welsh) Purvis, Rita (Bert) Mackie, and Adam (Barbara) Waldie.

Madge was born in Galashiels, Scotland, and immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her husband and four young sons. She was a devoted mother who taught each of her sons to cook, was an avid gardener, enjoyed travel, and had a long and successful career as the secretary-treasurer at Tomlinson Pontiac Buick in Richmond Hill.

Madge was a lovely, kind and generous woman, who will be sadly missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
