Margaret passed peacefully on April 14th surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas Quail. She is survived by her daughter Alison Ginther (Chris), her son John Quail and was beloved Gran to Alex Ginther (Libby Nixon) and Will Ginther (Allie Core), and Great Grandma to Oliver Ginther. Also survived by brother Norman Graham (Eleanor) and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Northern Ireland.
Margaret was born in 1937 in Glenanne, Northern Ireland and grew up in neighbouring Armagh. She was an avid tennis player and won several trophies in high school. Passion for helping others led Margaret to nursing school in Belfast. She most enjoyed working in the obstetrics department which became her specialization for the rest of her career in Britain and when the family moved to Canada in 1970. Margaret worked at MacKenzie Health (formerly York Central Hospital) in Richmond Hill for nearly 30 years.
In retirement, travel with her husband led to journeys to continental Europe, and warmer climes (Arizona, California, Florida, and Hawaii). They both enjoyed playing golf and bridge with friends they made while living in Ballantrae. As well, they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
We are greatly indebted to the staff of the Roxborough Retirement Residence for being a place where Margaret enjoyed her remaining years.
