My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. Your mom was always very kind to me when I was part of your extended family.  Remember her with a smile and now she is back in the arms of your dad.

She was the typical stay at home wife and Mother, the role I had always wanted my Mom to assume as well.  Auntie Ree did it all...baked, made jam and preserves, knitted, embroidered, sewed, and juggled so many other household duties.  She enlightened me to all these things, that I too grew to appreciate.  As co-workers, she guided me with her substantial work ethics, and made sure that commitment and responsibility were applied in how I approached my initiation into the working world. In her latter years, I enjoyed our morning visits.  She remembered always who I was, and seemed happy to see me.  Maybe it was the treats I brought that excited her!  When I told her I had to return to work, she was appalled at the very idea. How dare they expect such a thing.  In the end it was sad to see her slipping away.  Loosing our ability to communicate fully with her was the worst.  Gratefully she is now with the ones she holds most dear. I suppose that is why she wanted my Mom to go with her.  Now I envision her forever in the arms of her one true love, waltzing in a garden of peonies and lilac trees, breathing in their intoxicating fragrance!

I remember driving past Aunty Marie's house in the summer and Charlie and her were sitting on the swing enjoying the weather.  I would stop the car and chat and we would always end up talking about flowers!  God speed.  Love

My auntie Re always stuck up for me, being the middle child I always felt I got blamed for everything with my older sister and my younger sister...i know I was likely the one who caused the trouble but my aunt always made me feel Special.
I am a grandmother of three granddaughters and I always try to make the middle one feel special.

I remember every other Monday calling Auntie Re and we would talk on the phone for hours. We never seemed to run out of things to talk about and had some great conversations. RIP Auntie Re love Rose

I remember driving up to auntie Res house every year and seeing all her beautiful Peonies, to this day when i see the Peony flowers i think of her.

I have so many wonderful memories. I will tell you a  story my son Andrew mentioned to me this morning, it goes: “Mom remember when Grandma was with Auntie  Ree at the meat store and Grandma was suppose to be getting married! I do remember that story and alit more that will be shared in the years to come!

Our prayers are with you and family during this time.   May you find comfort in your memories of Marie during the happier times!  She was an awesome woman.  We remember her being an amazing dancer that we enjoyed watching when we ran into her at Legion dances.
