Dearest Donna, Alison, Erin & all the Foy family:
Our deep sympathy & sincere condolences on the loss of dear Martin. So sad! So soon! So tragic! But there should be some Joy in the fact that Martin's Spirit lives on, not only with his Maker, but also in you his family, as well as all those hundreds of friends & colleagues, like ourselves, whose lives he touched during his short but very meaningful & fruitful life on earth.
He has passed on "the Torch" to all of us to carry on his good works, his humble generosity, his community service, his sense of humour, his caring & loving of those less fortunate than himself. As an outstanding member of the Knights of Columbus & an active parishioner of St Elizabeth Seton community, he will never be forgotten as a truly extraordinary example to us all.
He was, in the Biblical sense, "a Gentle Man" & "a man without guile". Sadly we shall not see his like again. "Rest in Peace" dear Martin.
Paraphrasing the words of St Paul: he has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has reaped his reward!
May God's Amazing Grace be with you all during the difficult days ahead.
With Love, Hugs & Blessings from:
Theresa Ravanello-Wharton & Paul-Raymond Wharton

Dear Donna, Alison, Erin & Eileen:
Despite cut short, the resume of Martin's life will reveal a life lived to the fullest, filled with success and much joy, and, most importantly, brimming in love. The mark Martin leaves in this world is reflected in the impact he had in the community and on those he touched. Martin's resume will include a huge list of glowing references from those people initially hooked by his mischievous grin, eye sparkle and dry humour but caught forever and enriched by his kind, thoughtful and gentle spirit. Martin was simply a gem of a person. He left his mark on all of us.
Our thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

Martin Foy was an outstanding human being and a terrific business man. I had the privilege of working with him as MFM Printers was a valued supplier to my public affairs company for many years. Martin always made sure MFM had talented people, the latest and best equipment and that the client was happy. He had a big heart, a warm smile and a calm demeanour. I had prayed he'd beat the cancer. He fought with dignity and determination. Martin Foy will be much missed. His family should be proud.

Dear Donna, Allison and Erin, thank you for sharing Martin with us. We feel blessed and privileged to have met him. Martin was a class act, always humble, extremely generous, warm, supporting, eager to help, giving us his shoulder to cry on in times of despair, silent and behind the scenes witness to our Catholic faith and much much more. What we loved about him was that he did so much and yet, never looked for recognition. Martin is already in heaven with our Heavenly Father and will be interceding for, watching and guiding all of you. We pray that you find comfort and solace in the arms of Our Blessed Mother and her son Jesus. Donna, Allison and Erin, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult period. Dear Donna and family;
I feel privileged to have known Martin, and was particularly touched by his spirit of generousity to the needs of St. Elizabeth Seton parish over the years. He must have also had a love for Our Blessed Mother, because he was generous to our Discalced Carmelite Order in donating resources for a couple of specialized printing needs that we had.
May he now rest in peace in the arms of God, and may you be comforted by Our Lady who knows how much you are suffering. Please be assured of the prayers of our Carmelite family.
God bless,
