It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Mike lost his battle with cancer. Mike was born November 10, 1959 in Sudbury, ON and passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018 in Aurora, ON.
Left with grief laden hearts, are his loving partner Joanne Pinkos, and his beloved daughter Frances. Mike was the dear son of June (Giguere) and Donald Pakkala (both predeceased), and cherished brother of Janice Dillman, Brenda (Sauli Maki) and Donald. Mike was a loving uncle to Jason Dillman (Alex), James Dillman (Andrea), Joshua Gervais, Christopher Gervais (Katherine), Kaitlyn Pakkala and Alexandria Pakkala, as well as brother-in-law of Rick Moroz (Pat) and their children Rick Jr. and Deborah. Mike will be sadly missed by many cousins, coworkers, and his extensive networks of friends, all that he considered family. Mike was passionate about so many things; music, stereos, playing hockey, cottaging, camping, fishing, and loved following the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. Yet, his greatest passion was always his beloved daughter Frances and the love they shared.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday September 15 from 2-4pm.
