Brenda and Family,

My deepest condolences in your loss and sorrow. Too many times when we lose someone we love, admire and respect, we find ourselves struggling for just the right words. In Mike's case I'm going to rely on a slogan, "Deeds Speak". In Mike's case his deeds shouted, about his love and dedication to his family, his parish community, his work with the Knights of Columbus and so much more. Mike was a genuinely good christian man and he is deeply missed but will always be remembered. I take comfort that his pet project the Knight's of Columbus parade float "The Santa Maria" will be around to remind me of Mike for many years to come.

Brenda, may God bless, keep and comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Brother Mike, it was an honour to know you and travel through Knighthood with you.  You are an inspiration.  I'll long remember the fun times at the Bingo hall on behalf of the K of C.

Even though I didn't see Mike as much as I would have liked - he was always there, giving love and support during the sad times.
Such a shame he had to become one of those 'sad' times.

HE AIN'T HEAVY
Mike you did not have an older brother to show you the "ropes",comfort you at night when scared, and escort you to Saturday matinees with Tom Mix and Gene Autrey..... or help you learn the Latin by heart for alter-boy duties.
If you had,he would have taught you about fighting in the schoolyard, electronics,and how to look cool, like Elvis, with a cigarette sticking painfully to your lip....He could have shown you how to grow from a boy to a man,with shaving, knotting ties, girls, cars, and dreams of America.
I had such an older brother.
So glad I did.

Iris and I are very sorry for your loss.I am just out of hospital after undergoing a hip replacement.
Mike was one tough hombre and a great leader. His talents are well known.
Life does go on and yours will definitely have a void in it but through time our Great Healer will cover the void.
