Muriel French

November 21, 1921April 29, 2021

FRENCH, Muriel ‘Sis’ nee Halliwell November 21, 1921 – April 29, 2021 Peacefully in her sleep, after a long and loving life, Sis has left us to join once again with her beloved husband Ernie. Sis was a person of quiet strength, always ready to contribute support when needed. Whether by providing the practicalities of food and sewing clothing or by knitting toys for children in hospital or by rising to her full 5’ 1 1/4” of height to voice her opinion and take a stand, Sis’ presence was felt. Sis was a long-time supporter and member of the The Mimico Lawn Bowling Club, and the ‘always ready for adventure’ Grandma to her five grandchildren. She leaves her son Doug (Deborah), daughter Shirley (Harold), grandchildren Brendon (Emily), Jocelyn (Matt), Ryan, Greg and Mark and great-grandchildren Everitt and Samantha. (Due to restrictions, a family funeral has been held).

Dear Shirley, sister Sue shared the news. Aunt Sis was a gem and i remember well that infectious little giggle of a laugh she had. Your Mom and Dad were so good to us kids. Not any I know called her Muriel! Aunt Sis is the last of that "o'l crowd" with all its irreplaceable memories and many many get-togethers.
It's tough losing a mom we know. Auntie Sis will live on in our fond memories of both your Mom and your Dad who was very good to me growing up.
It was sad to receive the news and sad for all who knew her. My condolences to you and your family.
Sis is now back with "the gang" joining them for an evening, just like old times.

The “gang” is once again together now that the lovely Sis has joined them. My beautifully crafted wedding dress was Sis’s wedding gift to me and I remember our fun shopping trip Queen Street to buy fabric for both my dress and the bridesmaids gowns like it was yesterday. A long and well-lived life!

A dear lovely lady now sits in Heaven with Ernie. Our families sure had lots of wonderful times together. And I know my Mom had special girl times with Sis, Ruth and Becky. And that the "group" had fun bridge playing dates. Let's hope they are now together and again enjoying each others company.
Rest in peace dear Sis, you were such a lovely lady.

The Gang is finally together! They went to school together, dated together, married together, What a wonderful legacy to have for all the "kids" who saw their parents all together wether it was once a month for cards or party for any exsuse.
Auntie Sis was a quiet lady who always had a sparkle in her eye. She always had something nice to say . A caring kind women we had the priviledge to know
We send our condolences along with hugs and warm memories
