Peacefully, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, in his 101st year. Predeceased by his wife, Norma (2002). Beloved Father of Beth Smith (Paul) of Aurora, Jim Cook (Lyn) of Toronto and Mary Cook-Hyslop (John) of Carlisle. Loving grandfather to Kimberley Smith, Lisa Smith, Garrett Cook (Kathleen), Ellen Hyslop and Leah Hyslop. Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora) at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Followed by a Legion Service at 1:00 p.m. and Memorial Service at 1:15 pm. Special thanks to the staff of the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre for the wonderful care they provided to Norm and all the other veterans of our Armed Forces. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Veterans “Grant a Wish” Program or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
