We worked for several years together at IBM. I have many fond memories of the business trips taken together (Boca Raton and Charlotte).  He was indeed a wonderful friend and a true gentleman.

Thank you for including us in the wonderful ceremony celebrating Relph's life.  Relph was the best neighbour anyone could ask for.  Only this summer did we take down the latch that Relph invented and installed on our front screen door to keep our "run away" youngest toddler in house - she is now 19. As a child, I sometimes I was able to tag along on business trips with my dad, and I have many good memories of times spent with the Mitchells on those trips. I was saddened to hear that Relph passed away after putting up such a courageous fight. I admired Relph for his great spirit and love of life. I started at IBM in 1956 and although I never worked directly with Relph we still somehow became friends and this continued even after we both retired with the exchange of emails. Relph's favourite emails were those dealing with aircraft and especially stories about W.W.II, we both exchanged quite a few of these over the years. To Relph's wife Betty and her family I send you my condolences at this sad time.

What wonderful memories I have; the cottage where I first met Betty and Relph, the crazy, fun games he made up, the rhymes he seemed to just pull out of the air, visiting at Brian and Donna's cottage last summer, the recent visit to Sudbury and the family dinners....oh the family dinners were so great.  Here's to you Relph.  You're the best.
