Bob passed away peacefully at home in his sleep after a lengthy illness with congestive heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife Vickie of 62 years. Son David (Brenda) of London, daughter Cathy of Aurora and Kendra (and the late Alan) of Bradford. Grandchildren Michael of Calgary and Stephanie and Jeffrey of Bradford. Brother-in-law Gerald (Margaret) of Bridgewater and sister-in-law Rena of North River. And several nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Truro, N.S. March 6, 1928. Received his early education there. Attended NSAC (Dalhousie) then Macdonald College, McGill University. Upon graduation he went to work for General Foods Corp. where he remained his entire working career. Visitation to be held on Saturday November 28, 2015 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South (at Yonge St.) Aurora, Ontario. A Memorial Service to follow in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Donations made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre - Cardiac Centre, would be appreciated by the family.
