On February 21, 2021 as the result of several major Brain aneurisms, and despite heroic measures from the Toronto Western Neurosurgery and ICU teams, Robin passed away from injuries that proved to be too much to over come. Born November 27, 1963 in Toronto and growing up in her teens in Richmond Hill, Robin had lived for the past 32 years in Aurora Ontario, with her husband of 35 years, Wayne.
Family meant everything to Robin and she is survived by her husband Wayne, 3 amazing boys and 2 wonderful girlfriends. Kevin and Larisa, Brian and Micaella and Jason, her siblings Mark, Hollie (Ted) and John and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Family and friends meant everything to Robin. Sports was also a huge part of her life, whether playing sports when younger such as baseball and volleyball or cheering on her boys in both rep baseball and rep hockey. Nothing made Robin prouder than watching her boys give it their all.
Robins other passion was her work. Proudly for over 36 years, she worked in the Microbiology department of Shared Hospital Laboratory providing microbiology work for North York General and most recently Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center. She was incredibly proud of the work her department did and proud of all front line healthcare professionals. She extremely dedicated to her profession.
Through her infectious laugh, love of live, never-ending care of others, Robin impacted too many lives to count. Sons/Girlfriends and all their many friends who frequented our home, neighbors and friends who would stay up late singing Karaoke into the early hours, all of our many sports friends and families who made the many hotel stays, tournaments, cold arenas and rainy ball diamonds so much fun irregardless of the outcome. The hole that we all feel in our heart is far to fresh right now and over time, we will remember with fond memories just how special of a person she was.
As a final gift, Robin was always wanting to be an organ donor and as a result of her unselfish act, 4 people will receive a life saving gift from her. I cant think of a more fitting tribute to her life.
May you rest in peace.
