I am so sorry and sad to hear about the loss of Sarah. We worked together at York Region for many years. She was always so positive, kind, and did everything with excellence. I will be thinking of you all as you grieve her loss.

My condolences go out to Sarah's family. She was truly a bight light and was one of the most thoughtful and kindest people I have come across. I only worked with her for a short time but she left a lasting mark on me.   She always had the biggest smile on her face when she talked about her family and her love for all of you was very evident.

I remember the first time I met Sarah. We were in Aurora at a country concert and we had so much fun that night! Sarah had such a beautiful soul and a contagious smile. 

From partying with her in Montreal for her daughter’s bachelorette to sitting on the floor while she played with my kids as if they were her own grandchildren, Sarah was always smiling and making the people around her feel so special. She always made me feel like family. 

Sarah, you will be very missed!

My thoughts and prayers are with Sarah's family and friends during this difficult time.  She was a wonderful person who brought so much joy and warmth to everyone around her. Her love for her children and grandbabies was always evident, and her bright smile could light up any room. She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Sarah's passing and share my deepest condolences to her family. Sarah and I started in Business Services at York Region together around the same time and although we didn't get the chance to work together much, her positivity and shining smile had a lasting impact on me. She was always so warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed the coffee chats we used to have together every few months, where she would share more about her life outside of work. My thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved Sarah during this incredibly sad and difficult time.

I was so, so lucky to be a colleague of Sarah's, including having the privilege of working on the same team during the pandemic.  Such an inspiration, her brilliance and positivity got us through some big challenges, but what I remember most is her kindness - so much kindness and caring. Her love of her family was also so clear and we were fortunate to hear many stories of her husband, children and grandchildren.  I am deeply saddened to hear of Sarah's passing and am holding all of her family in my thoughts.

I worked with Sarah at the Region on a project in 2018-19 we had a lot of laughs together and she did amazing work. I always enjoyed seeing her around the building after that and having some small talk. I will miss her.

For too short of a time, I was fortunate to work with Sarah at York Region.  She was someone you could talk to about anything.  One topic was our cars - both new Civics in 2018-2019.  It was easy to spot her bright red Civic in a parking lot full of "dull coloured" vehicles.  
Sarah will be missed by our team and many others across the organization.

I feel very lucky to have worked with Sarah for a few years at York. Sarah's bubbly and fun nature made it so easy to learn from her: she seemed to always bring out the best in people. It is not an exaggeration to say that I still use the skills and curiosity she taught me every day.

I had the great privilege of working with Sarah in Business Services team at the Regional Municipality of York.  She always brought positive, warm and caring nature to her interactions with me at work. I was sincerely wishing for her recovery over the last few years. There aren't enough adjectives to describe what a fabulous person Sarah was.  Kind, loving, compassionate, thoughtful, supportive, dedicated, funny and smart.  I don't know anyone who had as many letters after her name!  She was just beautiful inside and out - and what a smile! It's unbelievable what happened to Sarah.  For a person so full of life...to go through what she went through these past 3 years.  I will cherrish my best friend and the memories we made on and off the golf course.   I will miss our Sunday 4pm phone calls that we scheduled in the winter months to catch up.  Always with a glass of wine poured for the long chat.  Our birthdays being two weeks apart meant that we could celebrate together during the weekend in between.  Above is one such occasion when we travelled to Muskoka Bay with licorice and birdie juice in our golf bags.  Sarah, I know you will watch over all the people you love. My whole life I felt so lucky that you were my Mom. I always thought there’s no one like you. There’s truly no one as awesome as my Mom. I felt like we had a special bond. You weren’t only my best friend but you were my person. I feel so lucky to have had that with you. We would literally laugh over nothing and get the giggles and be hyperventilating not able to stop. We’d be doing this with other people around with them not knowing why we were laughing. As if we were in our own little world. Which we were. They would ask us what’s so funny and we wouldn’t be able to explain it. When I was younger I would tell you everything and I mean everything.. not in a good way. You would look at me trying not to cringe as I told you about boys and you would laugh saying ok maybe there is such thing as TMI. But you didn’t stop me you always just listened. You were so selfless and so caring. The best. When you first got sick I wrote down every memory, every small detail I could remember because I was so scared to forget. I’m happy I did that because I can look back now and remember all of the good times. To list a few.. an epic Journey concert, Elton John concert. Honestly too many concerts to list. When we drove to Nashville together and decided we were going to have one drink at every bar down the strip.. well we got to the end of one side and as we crossed the street we were too drunk to continue further lol. My first trip to Disney World which I will never forget. Girls trips to Toronto when I was little where we would visit the biggest book store I had ever seen and eat croissants. You used to come over all the time and we would play just dance. It would be hard and you didn’t always get the moves but you always gave 100% and we laughed so hard. You loved music and dancing. We would go to Oshawa to line dance and couldn’t keep up and we would just laugh so hard. Our cruise to Europe, Calgary stampede, Arizona trips and more. I love you so much Mom. You were the best.

I hadn’t seen your Mom in a very long time but I was around in an earlier chapter of her life…actually my favourite chapter of her life- when you two came into our world

I will never forget Sarah bought me my first cd, Brittany spears, and my first adidas pants and I was so grateful because I never expected to get something so cool like that lol.  I will miss our long talks on the phone, and our breakfasts at family diners.  I will miss our pizza on Friday nights when we were kids, and our trips to flordia. Hockey games, living in the arena, movie nights, Christmas mornings, going to grannie and gramps cottage, walks and so much more. ♥️ I will miss you, and I know you are at peace

Our deepest condolences to Brittany and all the family members.  It is so very sad to hear of Sarah's passing I will always remember with great fondness our nearly twenty years of working together at Sterling Trucks. She was a remarkable woman and an outstanding engineer who never shied away from the challenges she faced. A true friend and work colleague with always a happy and friendly  word to all. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

I will always remember her smile no matter what she was smiling.
I loved golfing with her even when she wasn’t playing her best but she didn’t seem to care she just had fun. 
She was the best listener even when I had the dumbest stuff to talk about.
She came to a 50 cent concert with me and she was so into I couldn’t stop laughing as she had more fun then I did. She loved music every type which was great for me as we had a lot of long drives together.
She helped raise me and I will never forget that. Love you Sarah

Some of my best memories with Sarah were when the two of us would go golfing when I was a kid. She was so patient as I learned and always encouraging. I’ll never forget teeing off and there was a gopher 30 feet in front of us I was terrified to hit. She told me the chances were so small and it would be ok. I smoked the gopher and Sarah rolled over in laughter and we laughed about it the rest of the round. I’ll forever cherish our car rides, Sarah’s singing in the car to Kelly Clarkson or Brittany Spears, going to the cottage and water skiing, and our pizza Fridays. 

Love you forever Sarah, thanks for helping raise me to be the person I am today.
