Steve and Pat Wright were my best friends many years ago and I met my wife Janet through them. We had a lot of good times together, many fond memories.

Steve was my first love.  The young man that I wrote the name of in my highschool books over and over.  We met when I was fifteen years old and he was eighteen.  We went steady, later getting engaged and married.  We were so young.  I have always had wonderful memories of our early times together and having our daughter,Charlene, together.  I have never regretted our life together and it was so wonderful to have his folks become my folks too.  Dear Steve, may you have found peace.  Thank you for the years we spent together and for our wonderful daughter.  You will forever have a special place in my heart.  Patti Wright/Gratton.

 Steve was my sister's boyfriend back when I was a little girl.I was so young infact, that the day Patti showed me her beautiful diamond ring, I asked her, "Who gave it to you?". She said "Steve, of course". I remember their wedding - it was soooo cold that day. I know I loved Steve very much as a brother-in-law. We all had some very fun times, especially at the cottage. I also remember really liking his mom, Toni very much as well. The creepy thing I didn't like about Steve was that he was a Taxidermist and whenever I visited Patti and Steve as a young child, it was nothing to find a 'dead' animal either soaking in their kitchen sink, or find something in the fridge that was not exactly edible. Oh, and the time we went to the 'dump' and dug up some potatoes for supper! LOL  And there were the stuffed birds just glaring at me when I slept on the couch in the living room and the huge 'turtle' odeman to put your feet on.......maybe. Not sure really WHAT it's purpose was. LOL I had to stop having sleep-overs as it just 'creeped' me out a little too much. (Oh, I also remember Steve had a part of a REAL tree in his bedroom - I guess to put all the stuffed birds in!!!)
Then I was busy caring for my dad in my teenage years (as my mom had passed away)....then off to Australia I went. While there, Patti and Steve divorced and I never spent time with him again. Just 'chance' meetings. I do remember Steve fondly and was very sorry to hear of his 'passing'. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this very difficult time in their lives. May you RIP Steve!

It's hard to find the words to express how much Steve meant to me. Through the toughest time in my life, he continued to be a friend. I have so many great memories and I learned so many great lessons from him. Even if I was stubborn and didn't listen right away. I always admired his intelligence, his honesty, and his dedication to family. I hope his children, family, and friends know that he touched someones life in a very big way. I am lucky that he allowed me to be a part of his family and I will truly miss him.
