Sue was a best friend and sister to Kay, and always a most generously helpful daughter to our parents, Richard and Gerda. She is also survived by sister, Elizabeth (Liz) married to Stefano and brothers, Bernd married to Dolores and Peter married to Tegan. Sue leaves many other family behind, including nephews, Mark married to Aya, Ryan married to Melissa and Max and partner, Ashley; nieces, Alex and partner Krista and Emerson; great-nephews, Makiya, Liam, Sho, Ethan and Hiro and great-niece, Ellyanna.
Sue always put others needs first and was dedicated to helping others. She volunteered for many charity events and organizations and was always giving of her time to those in need. Sue's love of sports never waned and she enjoyed watching and participating in many activities her whole life. Sue was a kind and generous person, she had a good heart and could bring a smile in any situation. She will be missed more than she will ever know and her friends and family will keep her memory close and dear to them always. Sue was taken from us much too soon and far too quickly.
Sue had made many dear friends and colleagues, and their friendship and kindness at the end of her life was so very much appreciated by our family.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to the doctors and staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their incredible kindness and patience during the difficult final weeks of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sheldrick Trust Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya, which is a place Sue wished to visit at some point and was dear to her.
Her friends and co-workers at The Wynford Group have also shared the following in memory of Sue:
"Sue has been part of our Wynford family for 27 years. A cornerstone of our Air team. With immense knowledge and unwavering composure, she handled every task with a steady hand and an unflappable demeanor. She was the calm in the storm and when you work in Air for 27 years you weather many a thunderstorm, snowstorm and the odd hurricane! Her dedication to Wynford was unparalleled. Her colleagues, clients, and participants alike relied heavily on her expertise and steady support. When Sue wasn't getting 1500 people from across Canada to amazing destinations, she was fundraising, volunteering or playing different sports with her friends and colleagues. Her legacy of knowledge, reliability, and unwavering support will continue to inspire us. Sue is a huge part of Wynford and will be remembered with great affection and respect by all who had the privilege of working with her. Her contributions and spirit will be dearly missed. We love and will miss you forever Sue. Thank you and clear skies ahead."
