Bill was a valued and very popular member of the 30-Up Dance Club. He often acted as a Dance Host, ensuring that all ladies, regardless of ability, had a happy night of dancing. When off the dance floor, he would regale us with stories of his times at sea as a Dance Host on board ship. Bill's joy and willingness to share his skills on the Dance floor built a lasting contribution to the life of our Club.

Here we are, Bill and I, at the same Hard Rock in London in August 2018

Yesterday, Louie, a fellow Dance Host of Bill's from America, and I met at The Hard Rock cafe in London to honour our dear friend Bill, who we had spent many happy hours with on the Queen Elizabeth in 2018.

Bill's passing is so hard to believe. All these months he has struggled, only to be stuck down again. It seems so incredibly cruel.

Compared with most, my connection with Bill was short but concentrated. We spent time together on the Queen Elizabeth from Japan through to South Africa in Spring 2018 and then he visited me in the UK in August. I was travelling alone and he made my trip very special. We shared lost of fun times and he would make us all laugh till we cried.

He was a unique man. So very kind and caring. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and I am so pleased he touched my life for a short while.

Rest in peace dear Bill and I hope wherever you are, you will always be surrounded by lots of flowers.
