Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday January 10, 2017 in his 92nd year. Loving husband and best friend of Charlotte for 69 years. Beloved father of Kate (Gordon McArdle), Patti (James Doolin) and Susan (Marcel Beaulieu). Proud Grandpa of Rachel (Evan), Jessica, Sean and Heather (Mike). Great Grandpa of Ben and Oli. George will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday January 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 12 noon at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South (at Yonge St) in Aurora. Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel. Memorial donations in George's name to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
