Dear Terry
When ever I think of bill or William as I like to call him , l smile.
His quick wit and his story telling was infectious to say the leased.
Bill was great to work with. His easy going nature made the long days at station 1 very enjoyable. Bill is a quiet an dignified man with both the people we served and the fire crew who served under his leadership.

Dear Terry,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Bill which first came to my attention over the news on the radio. Having lost my dad suddenly and knowing how difficult that has been I can only imagine the anguish you must be experiencing losing a husband and best friend. I think of our years in school together often as I pass through Aurora and it will be with a heavy heart as I do so over the next wee while. I wish you the comfort, love and support of family and friends in the coming days, weeks and years.

We have many great memories of Bill but one that brings a smile happened many years ago.
As we were the first couple to be married, our place, across the street from Town Park, was often the gathering spot. Shortly after arriving one evening Terry borrowed Bill’s car to go home and get warmer clothes. While we all chatted Bill’s pager went off, just before the siren sounded for a fire call to all volunteers. Bill was out of his chair and ran down the street before the rest of us knew what happened. No surprise, he made the first truck!
His commitment to being a firefighter had always been there, right along with being a great friend and a fun loving guy.
We are honoured to have had both of you as friends.
