Adil Saliba Said, age 82, of Austin, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Adil was born August 24, 1939.

Adil was larger than life and always thought of everyone else before himself. He would happily give away any of his possessions just to see you smile. Every person that Adil touched was met with the greeting “My Friend” not as a formality, but because he meant it. His caring and nurturing for his family and friends knew no bounds. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his smile, his laugh, his optimism, his caring heart, and his appetite.

Adil was the devoted husband of Irma Cabrera Said; adoring father of Michael and Sandra Said; loving brother to Amal, Sal and Fawzi Said; and will forever be remembered by his five grandchildren, Raylin, Knox, Sloane, Simone and Neve.

A Celebration of Life for Adil will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.

Having known someone for 55 plus years it is difficult to share "a" memory.
Adil was not only a beloved friend but I considered him to be "my big brother".
He was always there for me, my sister Carolyn and my two sons, Clint and Matt.
A look at what Adil's name means:
Fairness------ Yes, to all he met and knew
Justice---------meaning peace and general respect for all people

This was ADIL A special privilege to have known him. He was dearly loved by each of my family.
Many prayers for comfort for my very dear friend, Irma and for Michael and Sondra.
Much love. Sister Mary

Dear Irma, Sandra, and Michael,

With great respect I, too, am sad and grieve the loss of your precious Adil…. He was a prince of mankind, and gave us countless joyful memories. I’m so proud and grateful to have been one of his friends.

Your family has been such a warm, happy extension of ours as we all “grew up” together! From school to soccer & baseball, to dinners & vacations, those times with each other are cherished. With Adil at the helm we ALWAYS had fun!

And now as you navigate the times ahead, please know I am here for you in any way that could possibly be helpful. I love each of you and will always be hoping to see you again.

With much sympathy,
Lucie Rogers Mansfield
