Albert Estrada Jr. passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2021 in Austin, Texas at the age of 68. He is survived and dearly loved by his Wife; Angie Estrada and his Children: Anthony & wife Sandra Estrada, Albert & wife Virna Estrada, Andre & wife Alison Estrada, and Alexis & husband Clay Tucker.
He is also survived by his Mother; Jenny Estrada, Step-Mother; Lupe Estrada, Mother-in-Law; Lucy Rodriguez, Brother; Jerry & wife Monica Estrada, Step-son; David Snyder, Nephews; Jerry Jr. & wife Sandra Estrada, and Larry Estrada and fiancé Alma, Step-Daughter-in-law Jamie Creamer. He was surrounded by so much love from his Grandchildren; Jaclyn, Ari, Alberto, Cali, Tristan, Ava, and baby Tucker. He will be fondly missed by all his family and many friends.
Albert was born in El Paso, Texas on October 30, 1952 where he was raised and attended Austin High School and The University of Texas at El Paso. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. In 1996 he graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Science in Pharmacy.
He enjoyed a successful career for over 35 years in Pharmacy. His leadership positions include Pharmacy Manager, Regional Director of Pharmacy, and hospital Director of Pharmacy. Highlights include; being the first in his family to graduate from college and serving as the first Hispanic Regional Director for his company. His prior affiliations are with Owens Healthcare, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, and Brazosport Regional Hospital. He was currently part of the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital family, as a Director of Pharmacy.
Al lived in Houston for 30 years where he raised his family. He recently moved to Austin for a career opportunity and to enjoy Texas Hill Country & Lake Travis with his Wife. He was a big supporter of the UT Longhorns (Hook ‘em Horns!), a member of the Texas Exes. He loved all Sports, enjoyed coaching Girls Softball, playing Golf, Traveling, Dining, Music & Dancing, and fulfilling all his career goals. He had a little joke for every occasion and his green eyes would always sparkle when he was happy. Al was an ethical man and a faithful servant to our Lord. He showed much dedication in all his endeavors. He leaves behind a beautiful Legacy, and many memories for us to cherish!
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on April 23, 2021; St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church located at 4800 Convict Hill Rd., Austin TX 78749.
A Reception and Blessing of Grave following church services at 3:30pm; Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 6300 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, TX 78749. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
