Albert Herman Klotz, 93, of Austin died January 3, 2013. He was married to Beatrice Emma Kerlin, for 47 years, until her death on March 8, 1989. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for HEB Grocery Company for over 30 years and had been a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1983.
Albert was a kind and gentle soul that lived for God and his family.
His family is so grateful to the staff of Buckner Villas in Austin where so many wonderful staff at that facility treated him with such respect and loving kindness for the last 2 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Hester; granddaughter, Stasha Lewis and her husband, Mark Lewis; great-grandchildren, Emma Lewis and Alan Lewis; his sister, Erna Sawyer and her husband, Glenn Sawyer; and sisters-in-law, Irene Crane and Jean Kinser; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Pigg, Stuart Crane, Jimmy Kerlin, Dennis Kerlin, Kelly Kinser and Tim Stahlke. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mark Lewis.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from half past five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Monday, the 7th of January 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the
8th of January 2013, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 West Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas with Pastor Kevin Westergren officiating. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
