Aleta Dell Galbreath Carson, 84, formerly of Creedmoor, died December 30, 2009. Born October 29, 1925, she was raised in Buda, Texas; Dell lived most of her adult life in Creedmoor until 2003, when she was moved into a nursing facility in South Austin, where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Galbreath; husband, Claude Vernon Carson; eldest daughter, Verna Dell Meyer; seven siblings; and granddaughter-in-law, Kim Fluker. Dell is survived by youngest daughter and her husband, Claudette and Jerry Jennings; three grandsons and three granddaughters; and numerous great-grandchildren. She retired from Del Valle Independent School District in 1991 as a librarian assistant. After retiring, Dell enjoyed traveling, bowling, gambling, and dancing with friends. Graveside services will be 10 am Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Live Oak Cemetery in Manchaca, Texas. Pallbearers will be Gerald Fluker, Jr.; Eddie Fluker; Travis Stalnaker; Irvin Schmidt; Mike Plante; and Jared Murphy.
