I am so so sorry for your death Henry Balloo. Alex, you were so sweet to me in HS and when I had to switch schools you being one of the few people to check in with me and to inititate that care  still means so much to me. i have no doubt you are a saint up there. Im sorry I forgot our secret handshake, but I'm also going to start playing tuba again in honor of our time then as well as with others.

I am completely sober and I pray all of your loved ones you pray for up there also find the strength and courage for sobriety and doing God's will.

I didn't know Alex.  In fact I didn't know any of you except for Lou whom I have worked with at Shoal Creek Hospital for a very long time.  If you are friends with Lou, you know her family and you definitely knew Alex from a far.  You know her family is the most important factor in her life, her life line.  

My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all in this time of pain.  In our minds we know that our loved one would not want us to linger in pain, but it is most difficult to feel the power of our memories when you feel the power of the huge hole that our loved one has left behind.

Alex always provided a burst of energy and joy whenever he flew through our home.  His beautiful blue eyes with those miles of lashes and his contagious smile were his calling card to everyone he met.  He opened doors to all his friends and brought new worlds together through his zest for life.  When voids dared to cross their paths, Alex filled them so that others could proceed unimpeded to their shared dreams.   It is so difficult  to imagine that we will not be able to see him throw open our front door to interject more of his rapturous light, but I know his Spirit will continue to grace and inspire all those who knew and loved that sweet glorious young man.

Alex was the happiest kid I have ever met. He always made everyone feel welcome. There was never a shy moment around him. I know his spirit will still be alive every day. Much love to all his family

Alex was a very talented young person.  I got to know him when he played trombone in the Lamar Middle School Jazz Factory.  He was always very fun-loving.  At McCallum High School, he was a member of our band.  He was a good tuba player as well.  Alex was always respectful and such a sweet kid.  The last time that I saw him was in the hallway right outside of the band hall.  He hugged me and thanked me for all that I had done for him.  I wished him the best.

Alex was one of the most fun and artistic classmates I've ever had. I was in his math class this year. I wish I would've gotten to know him better. It was always a good day in class when he would draw on the chalkboard and his laugh was contagious. He will truly be missed. Alex was a wonderful boy and I cherish memories of playing paper football and board games with him in the fellowship hall after church. He had a contagious smile that brought joy to those around him and I will miss him.

My daughter was friends with Alex, and described him as a sweet, funny, very sensitive soul. All of the teens are heartbroken over losing their friend. As a parent of an 18 year old myself, I can't even imagine the depth of your loss and sorry. The community is mourning for all of you.
