

Alfreda Jones was a proud graduate of Kealing Junior High School and later attended the historic L.C. Anderson High School, where she completed grades 10–12 and graduated as an Honor Roll student. She went on to graduate from Nixon-Clay Business College and began her career with the State of Texas. Alfreda later retired from Travis County, where she faithfully served in the Civil Courts Division.
Deeply committed to her community, Alfreda became President of the Colony Park/Lakeside Neighborhood Association, where she worked tirelessly to uplift and strengthen her neighbors.
Alfreda married the late Howard Loving Sr., they combined their children together and had Howard Loving Jr. Michael Jones, Kevin Jones and William Jones. Together they raised four loving sons and were blessed with a host of grandchildren.
She is preceded in death, Her Beloved Husband Howard Sr. Her Father Frank Jackson, her mother Ruby Jackson, her brother Walter James and two sisters Tish and Bobbie.
Her spiritual foundation was rooted in the East Nineteenth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.C. Walker, Sr. where her husband Howard served as Associate Minister for many years.
Alfreda was known to her family as a gifted cook, famous for her potato salad and her banana split pie. She had a playful spirit, loved to play cards and dominoes, if you dared to sit down with her for a challenge, you knew you were in for a lively time! Her kitchen was a place of laughter, love, and memories that will live on for generations.
Above all, Alfreda loved and lived a full life. She poured her heart into her family, her faith, and her community, leaving behind a legacy of strength, joy, and service.
