Attributes of an incredibly great man: Faithful, loving, caring, tough, funny, handsome, strong, witty, generous, empathetic, courageous, brave, honest, full of integrity, skillful, among so many others.
Amadeo developed an amazing and unmatched work ethic at an early age while growing up in Happy, Texas. He loved baseball and football as a child and played through high school. Guided by his parents, Amadeo developed his love of God and the Catholic faith at an early age. This would become the cornerstone of his life. His childhood set the foundation for what would become the absolute best man you could ever know. Amadeo graduated from Happy High School and then began his professional career.
In 1976, Amadeo met Christie Holland at the Joker in Amarillo, Texas. Christie had a boyfriend at the time, but Amadeo’s confidence, and more importantly his interest in Christie prompted him to ask her for a dance. The two would marry two years later. Amadeo was provided with the opportunity to work many types of jobs, which enabled him to develop an exceptionally large skill set. You would be extremely hard pressed to find a man with as much knowledge and as many skills as Amadeo. In 1979 they would have their first child, Justin, in Amarillo. Four years after that their daughter Whitney was born. Amadeo and Christie raised their children in Amarillo for several years until they moved to Frisco, Texas, while Amadeo worked at a flooring company. Amadeo loved people and that served him well in his personal and professional career. While running the Dallas office of his company, Amadeo quickly grew the company by utilizing his love of people, his integrity, honesty, and tireless work ethic. He was respected by everyone who knew him. If a client or even a potential client had questions or concerns Amadeo was there to find a solution while operating with complete honesty and integrity. He would never cut corners or sacrifice his morals. Amadeo had a long and impressive career, earning everything he received.
His professional career is a mere side note compared to his love of God and his family. A devout Catholic, Amadeo spent much of his life in the church serving God in many ways. A quick example is using his construction skills to help the Catholic church in Downtown Austin with renovations and improvements. As Justin and Whitney grew up, Amadeo was highly active in the sports they played, including coaching Justin in football and Whitney in softball. He absolutely loved coaching his children and would routinely reminisce about the great memories during those times. Other than his love of God, there was simply nothing Amadeo loved more than his wife Christie, his children Justin and Whitney, and his grandchildren Javen, Addison, Jaxon, Kensington, and Crew. He deeply loved his entire family and would do anything and everything he could for them. In 2018, Christie and Amadeo moved to Lago Vista, Texas to be close to their children and grandchildren. Christie and Amadeo continued to be incredibly involved with their children and grandchildren. They almost never missed any activities their grandchildren participated in or birthdays and holidays.
In his free time, Amadeo loved spending time with Christie by going on trips, playing golf, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers. He and Christie traveled to destinations all over the world. He was a fantastic golfer and loved getting on the course as much as he could. One of his favorite things to do was to go on golf trips with his friends where they would play courses all over the country.
There will never be a better man than Amadeo. He was loved by everyone he knew, and he loved them. Gods’ love truly shined thru him. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone that needed it. Amadeo lived his life knowing where he was going once his time on earth ended. He knew his true home was up in Heaven with God. His conviction and belief in the Lord were truly admirable. He loved life and the way he attacked it every day demonstrated that. Amadeo touched so many lives and everyone was better for knowing him. There are no words to describe how loved he is by so many people. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Amadeo. Congratulations on an incredible life well lived.
