She faced every challenge with courage, grace, and a warrior’s heart, inspiring everyone who walked beside her. Though her time here ended far too soon, her light continues to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
Amanda lived with a joy that was impossible to miss. She loved deeply, laughed freely, and brought warmth into every room she entered. Her strength was quiet but powerful, and her kindness left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She celebrated life in both the big moments and the small ones, and those memories will forever be cherished.
Amanda proudly served the Texas Department of Public Safety for over a decade, dedicating herself to the safety and well-being of her community. Her commitment to service was matched by her passion for learning; she earned her master’s degree from Texas State University, an accomplishment she carried with pride.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tanner Deichmann; her parents, Javier and Cathy Bustos and Wesley and Lacy Alexander; her brothers Jeremy Alexander (Alysha), Christopher Poston (Jesika), and Bradly Poston (Olivia); her sister-in-law Tiffany Hanks (Devin); and her in-laws Chris and Melissa Deichmann. Amanda also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, her beloved cousins, her aunts and uncles, numerous godchildren, and a host of friends who were blessed by her loyalty, humor, and generous heart.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandmother's Bernice Shomake (Gran Gran) and Mary Watson (Gumby), whose love and guidance helped shape the woman she became.
In true Amanda fashion-vibrant, joyful, and full of life-she requested that those attending her service wear bright colors to celebrate the beauty she brought into the world.
