Ana Ortiz Diviñó, 89 was born on October 8, 1921 in Havana, Cuba. She left this earthly life on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Austin, Texas. Ana was born to the late Julio Ortiz Casanova and Conceptión Galbis Ajuria. She married Jorge Luis Diviñó on February 28, 1943 in Havana. They had 4 children and were married for 56 years. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly, loved beyond measure and remembered forever by the many she blessed with her simple graciousness, dedication and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Jorge Luis, and by a daughter Cecilia Diviñó. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Ana D. Cleveland and her husband, Dr. Donald Cleveland of Denton Texas, Carmen Prodoehl of Houston, Texas, and a son, Louis D. Diviñó of Austin. She is also survived by three grandsons, Austin Diviñó of Austin, Texas, Paul Prodoehl and wife Jonna and David Prodoehl and wife Fabiola, of Houston, Texas, and great grandchildren, Krista, Matthew, Nicolás, Cecilia and David Benjamin Prodoehl, all of Houston. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Concepcion Cué of Austin, Texas, two nephews, Pedro Cué and Antonio Cué, a niece, Teresa Perkins, and grandnephew Tony Cué all of Austin.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Apicon Home Health Agency, Inc., and Hospice Austin.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 21, at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel, 2620 S. Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas, 78704. There is be a service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 22 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel and interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
