Stacy devoted his life to family, education, public service, and the Austin community. A graduate of Burbank High School and Texas State University, he used his background in sociology and criminology to advocate for underserved families and expand opportunities for young people.
He served his community through organizations including LULAC, the Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association, Amigo en Azul, and the LULAC National Educational Service Centers. His efforts helped raise substantial scholarship funds, support youth leadership programs, and strengthen partnerships between community organizations and law enforcement. He also hosted the annual Robert T. Chapa Sr. Fundraiser for more than 11 years.
A passionate soccer official for over 30 years and a founding member of Pan American Golf Association–Austin, Stacy found lasting friendship and purpose through sports.
He is survived by his beloved sons Jonathan; Erik and his wife Stephanie; Grandchildren Haley, Isabella, Greyson, Landon; Former wife, Shelley Lopez; cousins Lorraine Benivides and Mike Beraine; half-sisters Rita and Stella; and half-brother Felipe.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Weed Corley Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.

Stacy will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, dedicated public servant, and tireless advocate whose compassion and commitment created opportunities for countless future generations.
