Andy Gunn

Robert Andrew Gunn died Tuesday, August 8, 2006. He was born in Houston, Texas, June 29, 1947. He was a graduate of Athens High School, Athens, TX; discharged from the Navy in 1971; graduated from The University of Texas in 1977; and graduated from Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley, CA in 1983. Father Gunn served at St. Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock, TX for three years and was the founding pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Austin, TX, which celebrated its first Mass on May 7, 2000. There he served for six years until his medical retirement. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Charlotte Gunn of Austin, TX. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jeri Gunn, of Manor, TX; his son, Travis Gunn of Austin, TX; and one sister, Carolyn Jefferies and her husband, Charles Jefferies of Rowlett, TX. Rosary and prayer vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1900 Gregg Lane in Pflugerville. Visitation with the Gunn family will follow from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Burial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church followed by interment at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
