

Ann B. Garrison, of Austin, born January 5, 1929, passed away on July 7, 2006 of Parkinsons Disease. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Wilkie C. and Marion Erwin Burt of Chattanooga, TN. She traveled with her parents overseas during her fathers Army career and she met her husband, Barrett Garrison, in Vienna, Austria, and married on June 18, 1947. Ann attended Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, TN and The Bishops School in La Jolla, CA. Ann was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Westwood Country Club, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the beach, painting, tennis but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family at the lakehouse. She leaves behind her cherished and devoted friends and members of the bridge club of 50-plus years. Her elegance and grace were only surpassed by her warm smile and loving spirit. She is survived by her husband James Barrett Garrison, her three sons, Jim of Spicewood, TX, Craig, of Atlanta, GA and Bruce of Austin, TX; her daughter-in-laws, Candy and Karen; her grandchildren, Barrett and his wife Mary Jo, Drew, Grant, Darren, Ann Marie, Greg, and Maggie; and great-grandchildren, Holten and Gage. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Col. James K. ORourke and niece, Gratia ORourke Barnett of Alexandria, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 3201 Windsor Rd., on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM with The Rev. G. David Fikes officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
