

Ann Joyce Ruby, age 81 of Austin Texas died Sunday July 1, 2007 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1926 to Lawrence and Amelia Joyce in San Antonio, Texas, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in geology. Annie was loved by many friends and was a free spirit who lived her life to the fullest. She was a very active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and a deacon. She is survived by her children, Trisha Brindley and husband Mace of Waco, Ed Ruby and wife Louann, Nancy Grimes and husband Randy both of Georgetown, Doug Ruby and wife Laura of Austin. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Ben Brindley, Chelsa and JD Ressetar, Tara Brindley, Rusty Ruby, Brian and Kambry Ruby, Cynthia and Mike Holt, Lacey Grimes, Kelly Grimes, William Ruby, and Knox Ruby. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Gorman. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Edward Ruby, her parents, siblings Lawrence Baxter Joyce, Walter Harris Joyce, Judy Keppler, and Frank Coleman Joyce. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Mary Alcala and Helaine Roberts. The memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3208 Exposition Blvd., on Thursday July 5, 2007 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Bill Clark officiating.
