

Anna attended the University of Austin and continued on restoring historic books. She later went on to be the Senior Vice-President of ATEX Printing and Publishing.
Anna was very active in the Taylor community. She was proactive in plans to have Taylor’s Historic Preslar-Hewitt Building restored and registered on the National Register of Public Places. She was involved in helping the Taylor community achieve the distinction of Downtown Historic District. In addition, she was instrumental in helping recover an older Second Home development in the North Carolina Mountains.
Anna is survived by her husband, Calvin, and her children, William Jayroe, Luanna Niece and Calvin Jayroe, Jr, and her grandchildren, John Calvin, Rachelle Huff, Tappan Jayroe, and Trent Jayroe, and her brother and sister Jerry Grissom and J. Tolbert (Mickey) as well as a niece and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Austin Memorial Park.
