

Anna Joyce Tebay Petersen, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, September 13, 2013 surrounded by her family and is now with her Heavenly Father. A loving wife and beloved mother and grandmother, Joyce's lively spirit and passion for life will be greatly missed.
Born on January 3, 1930 in Graham, Texas, Joyce graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1947. Joyce's life centered around her family. She and her husband Dale had the opportunity to live in several cities across the U.S. as Dale served as an active member of the U.S. Air Force. Among her most enduring family memories was living abroad in Germany. Her two children, Debbie and Danny, and grandchildren were her life's joy. She was actively involved in their lives whether serving as Den Leader for the Cub Scouts, photographer for the Westlake High School band or carpooling her children and their friends to choir and baseball practice.
Joyce is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Sears Tebay, father, Herschel McCullough Tebay and brother, Dale Tebay. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Dale Petersen, daughter Debbie Pisana of Austin and son Daniel Petersen of Houston as well as grandson, Mark Wensel, granddaughter Julie Ann Wensel, both of Austin, and nephew Herschel Dale Tebay of North Richland Hills, Texas.
Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at The Summit for their care, support and compassion.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, September 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 3125 North Lamar.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 2 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church officiated by Reverend Tom Grevlos.
