A woman of strength, courage, conviction, and sacrifice, are all but very few descriptors that eloquently describe this Angel placed on this earth for over 77 years. With a determination to leave this world a better place than when she came, her devotion and commitment and love to her husband, children, mother and father, grandchildren, and siblings were unparalleled to most. Her loving life began as a gift from God to the late Mr. Marcellus McWilliams and Mrs. Dorothy McWilliams, in Natchitoches, Louisiana; in 1947. Mrs. Annie Wills departed this life on August 19, 2025.
Mrs. Annie Wills will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. Her courageous advice, support, and example will always be respected, loved and cherished. Her journey in life was highlighted by matriculating through the Austin Independent School District, Our Lady of the Lords' College, and working in the nursing field for the State Hospital and in Special Education at Lyndon Baines Johnson and Anderson High Schools. Her greatest joy was being able to retire at an early age, and become even more dedicated and committed to her family as a stupendous homemaker. Mrs. Wills' ability to provide love, support, comfort, time, resources, and synergy contributed to her successes as a woman, wife, and mother. As a mother, she was relentless in exposing her sons to becoming cultured, responsible, and contributing citizens. Her high standards and expectations for education, respect, and family were all essential ingredients poured into those she met and loved.
Mrs. Annie Wills is greeted in Heaven by her son; Mr. Richard Sullivan Wills, Jr. and daughter in law, Mrs. Lisa Wills; parents, Mr. Marcellous McWilliams and Dorothy McWilliams; sister, Mrs. Mrs. Catherine Hunt; brother, Mr. Wilson McWilliams; and leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Mr. Richard Sullivan Wills, Sr.; her son, Dr. Maury Wills; her grandchildren, Alex Wills and Jordan Thompson Wills. She will always be remembered for a "Job Well Done"!
