Little Nico is working hard on hitting "homeruns" without the Tee. I wish you would have gotten to see him swing the bat , hold the bat, choke up and get in his batting stance. I was looking so forward to having you help me coach him in T-ball and little league, you left us too soon ! You still had so much life left.. Janah has mastered the family "secret" reciept for sauce, your pulled pork and anything else you taught her. Mandi got accepted to Baylor and will be going there this fall.. Dear Gladys and family, This web page allowed me to rekindling the memories by looking at pictures of Tony and your wonderful family.  There isn't a time when I pass by your house on Bruce Court that I don't think of the great times our children had visiting with your.  You were so helpful with Debbie when she needed a job.  You were there when I needed someone to talk to and I am forever grateful.  I hope that all is well with your family.  I know the grandchildren are growing up so fast.  It's hard to believe but I will only have three grandchildren left in high school after this June.  I miss those days of holding them in my arms as infants.  The time just flew by.  God bless your entire family and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.  Happy Mother's Day to you and your daughters.

 Dad, still can't believe you are not here, wanted to say happy fathers day to a great dad. I miss you dad ! This morning over breakfast, I was remembering when you and i would meet at Trophys to watch the Bills games every sunday before direct tv. We would eat eggs and drink beer.. watch football talk smack to the other dudes there cause the bills were actually good back then .. man that was fun ! I watched a little of the yankee game for you today too.. and believe it or not the padres are still in first place almost at the all star break.. we made it to San Diego for the memorial in Alpine, we saw all your friends and everyone was so nice. Joe Agusta and his family did a wonderful job providing the food.. Crissy and Ryan worked with Uncle John to provide the lake house and everything else. . I know I speak for everyone in our family when I say your smile will be in the forefront of my memory forever..

Tony, You know I'm hopelessly addicted to my computer.  I knew many of the messages I sent to you would invoke a response -- and I couldn't wait to hear what you had to say in your honest and forthright way!  I think of you and Gladys many, many times a day -- and I miss my email pen pal.

Dad, things are finally starting to get a little bit better around here. Mom is in Panama City visiting her family hoping to get her mind off of things around here for a while. Everybody is constantly calling me and checking in , checking on Mom just like you would expect. Last night was a good TV night for you, Idol , Dancing with the stars both had their last shows..who would of thought that you wouldnt even make it until the end of Idol.. well Lee won, he beat out Crystal .. I got your lawn taken caree of finally.. so you dont have to worry about that..

I miss you more and more everyday, now that things have calmed down some, I have time to reflect on what really happened. We still can't believe it all happened so fast. One thing I wanted to tell you.. you promised Nico you would put up your trains at Christmas, but since thats not going to be possible, I will do it for him and make sure he knows that they are from his papa who he loves and misses so much..

one of the funniest memories of you and my father has to be the constant fight about when the helpers party is ? as a kid i never understood why that dang helpers party never happened.. now as a 36yr old adult.. Went by your house tonight, the lawn is green and your friends in the neighborhood are keeping it mowed for now..  we brought Nico to play for a few and Janah wanted to bring him down to the pond to feed the fish.. he laughed as the little fish jump up and fight for the crackers.. just as he always does. you and mom did such a good job cleaning out that back area for the grandkids to enjoy.. not only will they miss you, but all the fun times they had with you guys on those sleepovers you guys loved so much. all this just happened too fast man.. 3 months ago we had no idea what we were in for !

I type with tears as I think about your loss. Tony was special to us all. The times we had on Bruce Ct. were the best ever. He and the family just accepted you for who you were and it just blossomed from there. Tony was very trusting and had confidence in you. I enjoyed spending time at the house hanging out and playing with the kids. (Not to mention the babysitting jobs and the good time I had)The move to Blackton Drive did not stop me from being around Tony. It was my second home/hangout. Working my butt off to take pepper trees and bushes out to help was what I wanted to do. Tony always had time to share a cold " Corona" with you and then some. He worked hard and to this day I can hear him say after a day's work, " Lisa, rub daddy's feet" sitting in the recliner. May god bless all of you and celebrate his life. Wish I could be there to give you all a big hug and laugh with you.

Great picture of Tony. He just got better looking with time, and this is how I will remember him. I'm fortunate that  I got to spend so much time with him when we were both raising our families on Blackton Dr. I think it was the best time of my life and I know that my family feels the same. I hope he felt the same. They were very special times, pizza on Fridays, ball games and pool parties, feasts and cookouts. I will never forgot those days.I was always impressed on how Tony would always gravitate toward the kids and vice versa. He was Santa Claus all year round. He loved them all and they loved him so much.

Tony and Gladys, such wonderful people, took us into their home after not seeing us for years and made us feel like part of their family! We were in SanDiego and planned on staying at a hotel, but they would have no part of that. We stayed with them and they took us to Tiajana, a casino, and even to a barbeque with there children at Lisa's house. He called my daughter "Bo" after she had her hair braided in Mexico.They made us feel so welcome, we have wonderful memories. Tony was a very loving, giving man. Take comfort in all the beautiful memories, I know he loved his family very much!

Tony made us feel like part of the family from the day we met him and what a wonderful family it is!  We are truly blessed to have known him and we will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Tony was so welcoming to me and Calvin as family, even though we were in-laws; he always (as the Del Gatto way) made us feel just as special and a part of the family. We are so thankful for our time with Tony and send the family and friends our deepest sympathy and condolences.

Tony's personality and attitude is one we will never forget.  He always had a welcoming smile and hug for everyone and was a surrogate grandfather for many of our kids.  We will always treasure our Christmas Eve parties with Santa Tony and how he truly brought such big smiles to all the kids.  We personally will never forget Tony's phone call to our youngest, as Santa, assuring her to not be afraid and how wonderful he made the experience for her this past Christmas.  We loved Tony and will greatly miss him however we know we now have another wonderful angel looking over us all.  God Bless!

Tony was a friend for almost 40 years.  We haven't seen each other for years but he was already there if you needed him. Our prayers are with Gladys and the family.

Papa Tony always greeted us with a smile on our treasured Sunday afternoon cookouts and then he jumped in the pool to swim with all the kids.  He made fresh pasta and amazing sauce and made everyone feel welcome to come and enjoy it.  He was a great man, and one look at his family shows what an amazing husband and father he truly was.  We will all miss him, but we know he will be with us in spirit!

I am still in shock as are so many.  I'll share a couple of my memories of Tony.  We bought a house in 1987 that was a real mess.  We needed some drywall in the laundry area because it was falling down.  Tony snuck into the house while we were at work and repaired the ceiling for us.  We were so grateful and he would not accept any money for his work.  He was the most giving awesome person.  
One time he broke his leg and my son Jonathan was still in pre-school.  He invited Jonathan to go to his house for the day instead of going to day care.  It was a win-win for both of them.  Jonathan hated going to day care and Tony was happy to have a little buddy to keep him company.  He used to throw baseballs to Jonathan until he couldn't take any more.  Jonathan bugged both Tony and "Bito" to play with him.  Both had the patience of saints.  
We used to have pizza every Friday night for the years we lived on Blackton Drive.  I will never forget this wonderful man.
