Anthony William Mannella, 69, of Austin Texas passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020. He was born to his late parents William Richard Mannella and Betty Lou Mannella in Albuquerque , New Mexico on April 9, 1951. Graduate of Reagan High School in Austin, Tx and attended Texas A&M Central Texas College in Temple, TX.
For the past 43 years Tony enjoyed his career in Medical Sales. He has been employed by Medical Express PSI as their Director of Purchasing in Austin since 2002. Tony took pride and integrity in his work and truly cared about the people he worked with. He loved his work so much that he worked up to the last day possible.
Tony always enjoyed fishing whether on a lake or at the Coast with friends. Some of Tony’s fondest memories are times with his family doing thigs together. He would often reminisce of hunting with William and that look William had when he shot his first deer, or Vanessa’s time on the golf course growing up . He was passionate about golf and everyone knew if it was Saturday morning then Tony was at Lions Municipal Course with the life-long golf buddies. Tony enjoyed playing SkipBo along with going to the movies with friends Billie Anne and Don. But of course, it had to be Movie House and Eatery with recliners and someone waiting on him. He loved getting together with friends and cooking barbecue ribs, steaks, and pasta. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. His favorite times were having get togethers at the house and spending time with his Family. He was a loving, quick witted, funny man with a great sense of humor. He came about his sense of humor honestly from his family and as a good father passed it onto his children. His presence will be missed by all but all that knew him, knew that he truly cared for them and wanted nothing but the best for everyone.
