Antoinette Olwell Conroy

Antoinette Olwell Conroy (Toni), 82, of Austin, TX died April 11, 2015. She was born on December 13, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, the fourth child of Mary K and Evans Gerald Olwell. Toni was educated at St. Saviour Catholic High School and continued her education at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, New York, where she received her RN. She married Benjamin J. Conroy, Jr., also of Brooklyn, at Our Lady of Refuge Church on February 4, 1956. Toni and Ben then relocated to Uvalde, TX, where Ben began a career in cable television and six of their seven children were born. In 1967, Toni and Ben relocated the family to Austin, TX. She was a longstanding volunteer at Caritas. Her family eventually grew to seven children and nineteen grandchildren, who were her life’s passion. She will be dearly missed by all.

Toni is survived by her husband, Benjamin J. Conroy, Jr; her daughters Kate Buck of Austin (husband Brian); Toni Blizzard of Houston, TX (husband Tom); Patty DePiero of Ramsey, NJ (husband Mark); Anne “Tese” Roland of Houston, TX (husband David); Sloan Conroy of Austin, TX; Megan Decker of Shelby Township, MI (husband Robert); and her son Benjamin J. Conroy, III of Austin, TX (wife Kisha) and beloved grandchildren: Brigid Buck Mooney (husband Brandon), Caitlin Buck, Molly Buck, Kieran Buck, Quentin Buck, Aidan Buck, Megan Blizzard, Ryan Blizzard (wife Blair), Patrick Blizzard, Cara DePiero, Sloan DePiero, Eve DePiero, Matthew Roland, Jared Roland, Evan Decker, Brandon Decker, Aaron Decker, Maeva Conroy and Olivia Conroy.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 16th of April 2015, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at seven o’clock that evening.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 17th of April 2015, St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, TX 78731.
