Arnold Lowe, age 94, passed away on April 27, 2024 from a sudden, natural cause. No services or visitation will be held at this time. Family and friends will be updated regarding a Celebration of Life Service (likely to be held in the Cleveland, Ohio, area) when more information is known.
Arnold is survived by his sister, Gertrud Lowe, and his four children, Roland (Wife, Linda), Kurt (Wife, Diane), Heidi Eisaman (wife of late Kevin Eisaman), and Erich (Wife, Paula). He was a very proud father and “Opa” who dedicated a lot of time to his family, especially his six grandchildren: Kevin, Kyle, Cooper and Nathan Lowe and Racheal and Jonah Eisaman. He was their #1 fan cheering them on in their many involvements!
While he resided in Austin, Texas, Arnold lived most of his life in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio (immigrated from Germany). He met and married his late wife, Rita Bopple, at Redeemer Baptist Church, which was initially located in Cleveland and later moved to Parma, Ohio. They were married for 62 years and continued involvement with their church and close German community throughout their life. Arnold served as a volunteer in numerous areas and had key responsibilities as a Deacon and member of the Building Committee when the church built a new building during the 60's.
Arnold was an accomplished Tool and Die Maker and trade mentor - his children can vouch that he could calculate complex calculations, even with fractions, without a calculator! His technical abilities may be one reason why three of his children are successful engineers. After working for Modern Tool & Die for many years, he and two other partners founded and successfully ran the manufacturing business, Anchor Tool & Die Company, through the highs and lows of Northeast Ohio’s economy. Arnold retired at the age of 55; however, Anchor is still in operation today. What a success story!
Most recently, Arnold was a resident of the Brookdale Senior Community located in Northwest Austin. All the residents and Arnold’s children have witnessed his love for music and dancing – he simply enjoyed the guest musicians and dancing with his new, special friend, Betty.
Arnold will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He always encouraged his children and grandchildren to do their best for God’s glory and to challenge themselves in different areas for "well roundedness" – many of their accomplishments and resilience are due to his encouragement.
The family invites anyone with special memories to share them here.
