Arthur George Rehmann, 88 of Buda, passed away surrounded by his daughter and two sons Sunday, June 21, 2020. Arthur was born on April 27, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jacob and Margret (Lily) Rehmann. He was married to his late wife, Janice, for 68 years until her passing last year. He was clearly broken hearted at the loss of his beloved wife.
He was a loving father to his children and wife. He always sacrificed for the ones he loved. He was very talented at many things and always excelled at his work. Arthur performed many jobs in his life. He was master at most of them, specifically his work as a Nuclear Certified Welder and heavy equipment operator, when he cleared many roads in the Colorado Rockys including the road to NORAD. He also spent time as a Bekins Van Lines truck driver and often was selected to do special moves such as Liberace’s Pianos. During that time he visited every state in the union plus Canada and Mexico. He even visited Hawaii when he was in the Army. He was also the youngest fireman on the Great Northern Railroad and was about to be promoted to engineer before moving to Colorado. He was even a professional photographer at one point. He was also an accomplished mechanic and taught his sons and daughter to repair their own cars. His pastime interests were also quite remarkable, including R/C airplanes, Yacht racing, water skiing, fishing, Amateur Radio, Renaissance Festivals, wine making and even special projects for the Church. He was a member of Santa Cruz parish in Buda. There are many more things that we can’t remember.
Arthur is survived by his children, Paul, Mark, and Mary Rehmann; his sisters, Arlene, Evelyn, Susie, and Margie; daughter in Law Eileen (Booth) Rehmann; and his grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Kathleen, Hanna, Christine; great grandchildren, Kaylin, Mackenzie, Sydney, Rhylind, Avery, Liam, Ronan, Arielle, and Isadora. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Barbara, Nancy, and Ann.
