Aurora Martinez Saldivar

Aurora Martinez Saldivar beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, in Austin, Texas. She had just celebrated 91 years on this earth.

Aurora was born August 6, 1926, in Poth, Texas, to Lionides and Juanita Galvan Martinez. It wasn't long before she fell in love and married the late great Miguel Saldivar on Christmas Day in 1942. They were married for 68 years before his passing in 2011. This union was the foundation that rooted generations to this country.

Though Aurora's life was abundant in love and happiness, she was also no stranger to tragedy. She is preceded in death by two sons, Mike Saldivar, and Eric Saldivar and by two grandchildren, Joshua Martinez, and Jonathan Arispe. May they all Rest In Peace united once again.

This accomplished woman is survived by her children, Martha Medrano, Esteban Saldivar, Delia Mabry, Elida Balderas, Ernest Saldivar, Diana Saldivar, Sally Saldivar and Yvette Wilkerson plus the generations they too have sown into the family. This includes 50 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, 47 great- great-grandchildren, and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 P.M., at Rivers of Living Water, located at 9600 Old Lockhart Rd., Austin, Texas.
