Averie Isabella Owen

Our beautiful princess Averie Isabella joined God’s angels on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Averie was born on May 23, 2012 in San Antonio to her adoring parents, Scott and Elizabeth Owen. Averie, 16 months, had the biggest blue eyes and the most beautiful smile that captured the hearts of all who knew her. Averie loved music (notably, her Uncle Jonathan’s country music), flowers (especially peonies), and already showed a propensity for high fashion as the youngest model in San Antonio’s Fiesta. Averie loved to go shopping and was already prepared for Halloween in her Chanel bag costume.

Averie is survived by her Nana and Papa Owen, Nana and Papaw Moody and too many aunts and uncles to name. She was so close to her cousins Tyler, Ethan, Kalen, Laney, Riley and Westyn and her canine ‘brothers’, Kingston and Winston.

Visitation will be held at 11:15 Thursday with a memorial service at Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 N. Lamar Blvd at noon. Following the graveside service at Cook-Walden: Forest Oaks, the Owen family will host a reception honoring Averie’s blessed life at the home of Howard and Karen.

We all loved Averie and the joy she brought to her parents, family and all those she touched with her enchanting smile. Averie’s favorite song was “You are my Sunshine”, and she was ours.
