Barbara Ann Barnett

Barbara Ann Barnett a resident of Austin, Texas was called home to be with God on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Barbara was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 17, 1949. Barbara graduated from High School in Cincinnati and worked at the University of Cincinnati for thirty years before moving to Austin. After moving to Austin, she volunteered at Seton Northwest Hospital.

She was one of two children born to the late Bill and Betty Barnett of Norwood, Ohio. She is survived by her brother Charles, her nephews Christopher and Clayton, her great niece Erin and great nephew Christopher, Jr. and her aunt, Wilma Hensler of Cincinnati.

During her courageous eleven year battle with cancer, Barbara was cared for and supported by her sister-in-law Carol and by the many talented nurses, physicians and other staff members associated with Seton and the dedicated members of her care team associated with the American Cancer Society.

Barbara loved playing golf and listening to live music in Austin.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 with a brief prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, in Austin
