Barbara P. Graves

Barbara passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2006 after a prolonged illness. She was born on March 27, 1927 in Santa Monica, California to the late Benjamin and Nellie Pitman. She was raised and went to school in California, Brookline, Massachusetts and in Skipton, England. She married Charles E. Graves on August 30, 1947, when Charles returned from Europe after WWII. Barbara leaves her husband of 59 years; three sons, Charles L., Ronald and Alan; two daughters-in-law, Kimberlee and Becky; five grandchildren. Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. She was active in many organizations and clubs. Barbara will be remembered as a beautiful and sweet person. To know her was to love her. She had a great love for all creatures great and small. She left a legacy of love and compassion and will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at St. David’s Espiscopal Church, 304 E. 7th Street, Austin, Texas.
