Barney Melvin Jennings Barney Melvin Jennings, age 71, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2004. Barney was born August 18, 1933 to Josephes Burkus and Effie Mae Hunter Jennings in Elgin, Texas, the youngest of ten children. Barney is survived by his wife of 41 years (Cynthia) Cindy; four daughters, Deborah (Brent) Woodard of Clovis, New Mexico, Pamela (Daren) Berry of Austin, Vickie Pratt and Cary Harville in California; one brother, James Russell (Dot) Jennings; grandchildren Ashlea Draehn, Garrett Draehn of Clovis, New Mexico, Evan Woodard, Jessica Woodard of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Justin Berry, Tyler Berry and Chace Berry of Austin; and five grandchildren in California. Several sister-in-laws survive Barney and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, October 8, 2004, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Fitzhugh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to American Cancer Society, P. O.
