Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing she is now resting in the arms of God—free from pain, wrapped in everlasting love, and reunited with those who went before her.
Born on November 20, 1946, in Robstown, Texas, Baudelia was the eldest of nine children— a guiding light and a source of strength to everyone blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pioquinto and Amelia Zamora; her siblings, Ernest, Reynaldo, Freddy, Rudy, Albert, and Gilbert Zamora, and Yolanda Walker; and her beloved granddaughter, Christina A. Perez.
She is survived by her children, Alfred A. Perez, Christopher J. Perez, and Cynthia D. Perez; her loving brother, David Zamora; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
Throughout her life, Baudelia faced many health challenges, yet she met each one with unshakable faith, grace, and courage. Her strength was rooted deeply in her love for God and her family. Even in her hardest moments, she found joy in laughter, in song, and in the simple blessings of each day. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her playful and feisty sense of humor, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved most.
Her love was the heartbeat of her family—a love that taught patience, compassion, and faith. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her presence will forever be felt in our hearts, in the warmth of our memories, and in the peace of knowing she now rests with the Lord.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul.”
— Psalm 23:1–3
