Beatrice was born in Austin on July 10, 1925 to Timoteo Torres and Maria Pequeno. She married Manuel Diaz in 1950 and they had 5 children. Beatrice loved her children dearly and dedicated her life to providing for them and raising them in the Catholic faith. She made many sacrifices to give her children opportunities she did not have and was very proud of whom her children grew to be.
Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and going to church. She also enjoyed gardening and she missed it greatly when her body just couldn't do what her heart desired.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ruben, who passed away in May 1977.
Beatrice is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters. Daniel Diaz (Sharon), Sylvia Calderon (Dan), Bea Esquivel (Eddie), and Mellie Diaz. Beatrice is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and extended family members.
It's been one year since Beatrice lost a sister, Angelina, and she continued to talk about her until her final days, remembering times they spent together. Beatrice missed her very much and it's comforting knowing they are together once again.
"Lord Jesus, I pray that you touch me with your hand, you heal me with your blood, and you anoint me with your oil, from my head to my toe, Amen!"
