Beatriz Escobedo Vega, age 103, of Kyle, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Beatriz was born on September 30, 1920, in Villanueva, Mexico, to parents Modesto Escobedo and Juanita Martinez. She later moved to Austin, Texas, then eventually to Kyle, Texas, where she lived for 7 years.
Beatriz is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Vega, who passed away in 1967.
Beatriz is survived by her children Jaime Vega, Miguel (Debbie) Vega, Enrique Vega, Reynaldo (Elisa) Vega, Elizabeth (Jesus) Ramos, and Mirta Vega; sister Elizabeth Barroso and brother Ruben (Hermelinda E.) Escobedo; as well as by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Impact Family Church, 2909 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749 with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM. The graveside will be held at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749 at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to a reception after services at Impact Family Church at 1:00 PM.
