Bebe Wortham

Bebe was raised in Austin, graduated from S.F. Austin HS, attended UT, St Edwards and ACC. She retired from the State Health Department as chief accountant after thirty years of service. Bebe was a life time Methodist and active member of St John's UMC and loved her UMW group, Sunday School class and singing with the Amazing Grays Choir.

She was grateful for her life and considered herself blessed by her children, grandchildren and a host of friends. Special gratitude for her caregivers, Gayle and Ashley, who were part of our family for the last 15 months.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wortham, her parents, and 6 siblings. She is survived by her brother, Joe Young, children Tommy Wood and his wife Patty, Kay Musick, Sharon Daywood, 8 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Monday, the 25th of November 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00pm in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 26th of November 2013, at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, celebration of her life at 2:30pm St. John's UMC with a reception to follow.
